We recently welcomed parents for a special community session to reflect on the journey we’ve shared, celebrate the progress of our learners, and explore what comes next for Citizens School.
Hosted by Principal David and Dr. Adil, the session provided an opportunity to discuss the achievements of the past year, our strategic direction for 2026–2027, and the next phase of our Venture Building journey.
Together, we explored why Venture Building is becoming more relevant than ever before. As the skills needed for the future continue to evolve, we believe learners need more than knowledge alone. They need opportunities to apply their learning, solve real problems, and create meaningful impact.
We also discussed how Venture Building is helping shape future-ready learners by developing the skills, mindset, and resilience needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
The session included an open discussion on the National Bonds initiative, with parents sharing valuable feedback, asking thoughtful questions, and contributing ideas for the future.
Thank you to everyone who joined us. We value these conversations and the partnership we share with our parent community as we continue shaping the future of learning together.

This #TeamsThursday, our Global Hawks explored what it means to be curious and how asking questions helps us better understand the world around us.
At Citizens, curiosity isn’t limited to the classroom. Through Project-Based Learning and our Citizens Teams, learners are encouraged to ask questions, explore different perspectives, conduct research, and pursue topics that genuinely interest them.
Because when learners are curious, they become active participants in their own learning journey.

For World Environment Day, our Year 2 learners explored the importance of protecting endangered species through a creative art project.
Working with Ms. Anna and Ms. Jellica, they researched endangered animals and transformed their learning into sculptures, while discovering how habitat loss, pollution, climate change and illegal hunting threaten wildlife around the world.
Through this project, learners explored how small actions, from reducing waste to conserving water, can help protect our planet and the species that call it home. 🌍💚

What happens when young ideas are given the space to grow?
At Makers Monday, learners are given the opportunity to bring their ventures to life, sharing and selling products they’ve created themselves while building confidence, communication skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Zakariyah (Year 5) shares the book he has written, while Ivan (Year 9) showcases his handmade flowers, designed to be worn on as an accessory on clothing, in your hair, and more.
Entrepreneurship is embedded into the learning journey from an early age, giving learners real opportunities to identify problems, create solutions, test ideas, and engage with customers in authentic ways. Because some of the most valuable lessons happen when learning extends beyond the classroom. 🚀

في «صنّاع يوم الإثنين»، تتاح لطلابنا الفرصة لتحويل أفكارهم ومشاريعهم إلى واقع، من خلال عرض وبيع منتجات قاموا بابتكارها بأنفسهم، مع تنمية مهارات الثقة بالنفس والتواصل والتفكير الريادي.
يشارك زكريا (الصف الخامس) كتابه الذي ألّفه بنفسه، بينما يستعرض إيفان (الصف التاسع) زهورًا يدوية الصنع صمّمها لتُستخدم كإكسسوارات للملابس أو الشعر وغيرها.
